ICE Engineering and Construction, part of the E&A Limited group of companies, is a specialist Electrical and Instrumentation Installation company that operates in the Heavy Industrial sectors.

 

Due to operational requirements we are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Electrical for the co-ordination and delivery of assigned projects in Port Pirie, South Australia.

 

  • Site Based
  • 12 Week Contract with option to extend subject to operational requirements
  • 5/2 Roster
  • 12 hours days
  • Drive In/ Drive Out
  • Accommodation/ Meals Provided

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

 

  • Occupational Health & Safety Management:
    • Ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner with appropriate safety equipment and in accordance with ICE Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
    • Promoting, upholding and implementing HS&E policy, procedures and legislative requirements;
  • Guaranteeing the performance of project are:
    • To ICE/Customer design specification
    • To planned project costs (cost control reporting)
    • Completed on time
  • Stake Holder Management / Communication:
    • Developing lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
    • Setting and managing client expectations.
    • Discussing / negotiating with relevant client representatives(s);
    • Regular communication of ICE’s position with Operations Manager
    • Collation of data requested by client in support of claims;
    • Reporting to Management
    • Timely performance of all of the above.
  • Resource Management:
    • Procurement of materials as required
    • Reviewing and resolving day to day site issues
    • Assessing resource requirements and implementing necessary changes for manning, plant and equipment

The suitable candidate will possess the following:

  • Availability for immediate start (Essential)
  • Trade or Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical Project Management experience (a minimum of 10 yrs relevant construction industry experience is essential).
  • Ability to travel to remote areas for extended periods
  • Proven experience with Quality Assurance & Commissioning
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and be organised
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with others
  • Advanced PC and computing skills (MS Office)
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Scheduling Software
  • Drivers Licence (C Class as a minimum)
  • White Card
